Colorado News: NCMC sets tobacco-free campus policy
GREELEY - North Colorado Medical Center announced it will adopt a tobacco and smoke-free campus policy effective Spring 2007.
Gene Haffner, NCMC spokesman, said a precise date has not been set. "We know we're going to get feedback that may affect what we offer in classes and smoking cessation things," he said. "I think the most definitive we can be is mid-May."
The policy will prohibit tobacco use by anyone - including employees, volunteers, medical staff, contract staff, vendors, patients and visitors - on the hospital campus or at any of NCMC's off-site facilities.
