HEALTHIER COMMUNITIES PARTNERSHIP TO PRESENT PUBLIC SMOKING BAN FORUMS
Public forums will be held across Whiteside County April 16 and
17 on the merits of going smoke-free in all business
establishments.
The Whiteside County Healthier Communities Partnership will hold
discussions in Rock Falls, Morrison and Sterling, and University
of Illinois College of Nursing graduate students John Hawry and
Theresa Walerius will facilitate.
The program will cover the effects of second-hand smoke, the
economics of a smoke-free environment and Whiteside County
health statistics related to direct and indirect smoke, followed
by a public discussion and question-and-answer period.
